An August wedding at The Oaks

Summer weddings are by far the most popular here at The Oaks and Bethany and Adams took place on a perfect summers day. Our venue is geared up for every weather outcome but luck was on our side and guests were able to make full use of our fabulous outdoor surroundings.

We spoke to Bethany about their big day . . .

Our wedding day was simply perfect - from start to finish! We were originally meant to get married in 2020, but due to Covid we had our wedding postponed twice, which gave us chance to stumble upon the Oaks as a potential venue for our big day. I’m a firm believer in the idea that ‘everything happens for a reason’ and we’ll forever be grateful that we were able to book here as the day itself was everything we’d ever dreamed of and more.

We got married in the local church at Dilhorne and then continued our celebrations at the Oaks Barn where we, alongside our guests, were greeted with a welcome drink and stunning grounds. I remember being the first to walk into The Forest room and thinking that everything we’d planned had come together so perfectly…it looked simply stunning. The decor by Enchanted Venue Dressers suited the Oaks vibe perfectly and was everything we’d envisioned for so long!

As our guests were mingling, our photographer and videographer captured many natural shots of our loved ones enjoying their day, but our favourite photos and footage are those taken of us in the woodland area on the woodland drive - the setting is so magical and stunning! In the evening, we had a DJ and the fabulous saxophonist (Sophie Sax) got the party started. We danced the night away!

The Oaks venue and staff exceeded all our expectations for our big day and we can honestly say we wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you a million times to you all - from the lady behind the bar (Sophie) who picked out all of the little leaves from my veil, to Julie who sorted the logistics of the day, the gent who made the best baby Guinness and Rianna who was just always there!
