Wedding Planning tips - The Invites

The couple have visited us . . . maybe multiple times. They’ve brought the parents to view, they’ve thought long and hard and they’ve gone for it and BOOKED The Oaks hurrah!!! The date is set but then what? One of our most asked questions is ‘where do I begin planning my wedding’.

There are so many points to consider when booking your wedding like the wedding breakfast, photographer, the dress, the wedding rings . . . . but why not start somewhere fun to get you inspired . . . The invites!

We love seeing when a couple have a Pinterest board full of inspiration and the wedding invites are always top of the list. Choosing the layout/colour and style of your invites may help you ultimately decide what the décor and venue dressing may be like on your big day. From minimal black and white, to hand drawn, containing pressed flowers that match the blooms that the bride will be carrying, to scalloped edged. Once you’ve chosen a theme, it will then lead to creating other items for the day, inline with your invite design. The menu, the itinerary, local accommodation info, place settings and maybe save the dates pre wedding.
